Bristol Student Health Services helps you maintain your health and well-being while achieving academic success at the college.

Health Services offers immunization record processing, health education outreach (including Family Planning), and guidance to students with COVID infections and exposure. 

For medical emergencies, call 911, first, then call Bristol Campus Police by dialing 3911 or 2218 from any college telephone or 774.357.3911 or 774.357.2218 from your mobile phone.

Immunization Records

The state of Massachusetts requires students over the age of 30 taking 12 or more face-to-face credits during the fall semester to submit proof of immunizations to Bristol, typically before the start of classes but absolutely no later than 30 days after the start of classes. Failure to submit your immunization records will result in an enrollment hold being placed on your Bristol record, which will prevent registration for future courses.

COVID-19

Keeping the college community safe should be the priority of everyone who is visiting any of our college locations. 

What to do if you have COVID-19 symptoms?

COVID-19 should be treated like any other communicable illness. Do not come to campus if you have any signs or symptoms. You should notify your instructors, and any other people who may need to know, that you will not be coming to the college.  

If you are absent for more than three consecutive days, you may also fill out the Student Absence Notification Request form to notify your instructors. Learn more and fill out the Student Absence Notification Request form here.

If you have COVID-19, you should also email Health Services at HealthServices@BristolCC.edu so that you can receive any available guidance or information to help you.

COVID-19 Vaccination policy

As of May 18, 2023, the COVID-19 vaccine policy for students and employees expired. In general, there is no longer a COVID-19 vaccination policy. Some specific groups of students and employees may be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their clinical or external placements.    

Face masks

Wearing masks or face coverings indoors at any Bristol Community College location is dependent on the daily level of new COVID-19 cases in our area. See below for more information.

Masking Guide:

Color Description Masking
RED: 135 or more new COVID-19 cases per day.
High Risk, dining restrictions.
MASKS REQUIRED
ORANGE: 5-134 new cases per day.
Moderately High Risk.
MASKS RECOMMENDED
YELLOW: 58-94 new cases per day.
Moderately Low Risk.
MASKS RECOMMENDED
GREEN: 57 or fewer new cases per day.
Low Risk.
MASKS OPTIONAL

When the positive case count drops to seven consecutive days that average below our threshold of 135 cases or fewer per day, we drop the requirement of using masks on campus back to recommended. If cases climb back to an average of 135 cases a day, we will shift to requiring masks. Free masks are available at the entrances of most Bristol Community College buildings.
